I am undertaking a Pilgrimage to the Tomb of St James in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain, to help raise some much needed funds for a children’s hospice in the U.K. called Derian house. The Pilgrimage trail is called in Spanish “Camino Santiago” and winds its way from France across the mountains of Northern Spain. In English it is “The Way of St James”. We will be completing the Final Major Stage of the journey from Sarria in Lugo Province and finish at the doors of the Cathedral in Santiago in the Province of La Coruna. We leave Sarria on the 30th April and plan to be in Santiago on the 8th May having walked 120 kilometers carrying all of our equipment on our backs to receive our “Compostela” which is a certificate issued by the Church authorities to all those that complete the Pilgrimage. Along with two dear friends, Ron and Jean, we are beginning to increase our training program in readiness for the big day, and pray that my dodgy left leg can take the strain. By asking for some sponsorship I hope to help these terminally ill kids, some who have a very short future, in making their remaining time on earth a pleasant one. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Derian House Childrens Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
