We've reached £1,000, and now we have a farm! THANK YOU!
NOW WE'RE GOING FOR £2,000 TO BUY WHAT IT TAKES TO GET THE FARM WORKING
WHO FANCIES HAVING THEIR OWN GOAT OR BANANA TREE?
Sometimes you agree to things and then think to yourself is this really the best idea I've ever had. Agreeing to it live on radio on a Friday afternoon means once you've said yes there's no going back.
Having not been on a bike in 10 years I am going to cycle thirty miles, starting in Buckinghamshire and finishing up at on Wednesday 10th March 2010. To make things slightly harder I will be presenting the Lorna Milton Afternoon Show live from my bike between 2 and 4.30pm. Should be interesting and well worth tuning in for! Why am I doing it? As many of you know I recently covered the opening of an orphanage in Utange in live on BBC Three Counties Radio. Part of Phase Three of the project for Casuarina House is for the home to become self sufficient. Fifty percent of the costs of running the home are currently spent on food for the children. By growing their own crops and farming their own land this means £1000 pounds a year can be saved.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
If you would like to give a donation towards the farm I would appreciate all of your support. If you would like to sponsor a particular part of the farm a breakdown of items is below for you to choose from.
