DATE CHANGE - I DEPART ON THE 20TH NOW!

Yes it's me again with the begging bowl! Heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sponsored me over the years for the 5k's and 10k's! I've now decided to step both the challenge and the fundraising up a gear.....I'm off to the Arctic! In March I will be taking part in the open charities challenge in Sweden racing across the icy plains with a team of huskies. And for those of you that think it's a holiday, far from it. I don't get to sit back and mush on the back of the sled, I have to care for my own team of dogs and run/ski alongside them for 6 days (and nights!!!).

I have financed the cost of the trip myself to ensure that every penny raised goes direct to the Willow Foundation. Unfortunately there are lots of young adults going through difficult times, and Willow helps them and their families forget the bad times and create the good ones. Founded by former Arsenal and Scotland Goalkeeper Bob Wilson and his wife Megs, in memory of their daughter Anna, the charity needs your help.

I recently met a special day recipient who said her day out with her family mid way through chemotherapy, gave her that extra mental push to fight on, very humbling considering she is in  remission and was lining up to start a 5k race!

My target is £5,000 which is at least 5 special days out, so please dig deep and help a few people have something that most of us take for granted - happy days with our friends and family.
