Story
In September I’m taking part in a world record attempt, cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End in just 8 days with 99 other riders.
It’s just over 1,000 miles in total which means I’ll need to average 125 miles a day... it’s never been done before by a group of cyclists in 8 days which means, if we’re successful, it will be a world record.
The ride is being organised by James Bowthorpe, who last year cycled around the globe in a new world record of 176 days.
I’m raising money to help find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease and I have a target of £1,000.
Because it’s a world-record attempt, likely to attract a bit of media attention, the cost of the ride is being paid for by sponsors (tents, etc).
And the administration costs of the charity are below 1%... so [almost] every penny of sponsorship will goto this very worth-while cause.
I would really appreciate any sponsorship you could give me – I’ll work really hard for it, I promise!
Thanks,
Kevin.
