Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. What a good looker ! Yes, I'm after your money again, but this year there's a bigger motivation behind my plea. I was thinking of donating to medical research to find out how Tilson can consume so much Guinness yet still beat us all, year in, year out, but we've given this up as a bad job. Drugs testing is in order this year. We're off to Dublin again, to do the Bupa 10k run, after a year out at Edinburgh - last year, thanks to your donations, I raised over £500 for a children's charity, and also allowed my boss and the oldest swinger in town (Brown) to beat me, for once.
No, instead I've selected a charity which means a bit more. One of my own shift colleagues and friends for years, Richard Bottrill, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour, which has shaken us up a bit and made us realise that anything can happen to anyone at any time. Botters is now undergoing treatment and has adopted a positive attitude to getting through. We're all wishing for him. I hope that anything I can raise will go towards helping Botters and others like him who are suddenly given what must be such devastating and frightening news.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Brain Tumour UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. If you don't want to donate this way, I can also do it in the paper and pen way. Floyd is also helping out, shaking the collection tin - cheers old man !
So please sponsor me now!
