Story
Thanks for visiting our teams(ShawClan) fundraising page.
The Challenge is to put a team of walkers on top of 100 of Britain's best-loved peaks, between midday and 2.00 p.m. on Saturday 6 June 2009.
Our Team is attempting to climb Englands highest mountain,Scafell Pike at 978metres(3,209ft)
We ran the Trail 100 Challenge for the first time in June 2008 and it was a tremendous success. We had around 2,000 walkers out on the day and to date have raised more than £200,000 for WaterAid projects in Africa and Asia.
In April 2007 Trail magazine issued a list of their favourite 100 mountain walks in the UK. The list includes many famous peaks such as Snowdon and Scafell Pike, as well as lots of smaller mountains right across the UK, such as Hound Tor on Dartmoor and Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire. The list also includes such favourites as Foinaven in Scotland and Haystacks, one of Wainwright's favourite climbs in the Lake District.
