Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us here online.

On 26th July we'll be taking part in CRYs Heart of London Bridge walk - The route includes great views of at least 12 of London’s most famous landmarks, chosen to represent the deaths of 12 young people who die EVERY week in the UK from undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

This will be the second year we've taken part in this event since my brother, Kevin Smart, sadly died from a rare genetic heart condition on 5th September 2007 aged just 33.

Kevin is still very sadly missed by all.

Those taking part this year are:  Debbie, Steve, Nat, Louise and Lynn along with Jake and Rhys also.

CRY works to raise awareness of Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and campaigns for proactive screening of young people. It offers help and support to those who have suffered a loss, provides medical information, carries out Mobile Cardiac Screening and ECG Testing Programmes within local communities and contributes to medical research. For more information please go to www.c-r-y.org.uk

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
