Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Callum and Matt write...we are two 15 year olds passionate about sport and the concerns facing our peer groups in other nations. As a result we have both signed-up for the initiative Kick4Life which aims to “change lives through football.”
Focussing their work in Lesotho, South Africa the charity is helping to tackle the spread of HIV by providing sports-based health education, voluntary testing, life-skills development and support into education and employment. Lesotho has the third highest HIV prevalence in the world and hundreds of thousands of children have been orphaned by the disease. “Kick4Life is committed to playing an important part in addressing this crisis.”
We will be joining the 2013 Kick4Life All Stars Tour leaving on 17th September 2011 and returning on the 1st October. While in Lesotho we will play against local teams in front of hundreds of supporters; after full training we will run HIV/AIDS education sessions at local schools and orphanages; visit local AIDS projects to see how the money we raise will make a difference and finally go on an adventure trip to Lesotho's beautiful mountain region.
Having each paid the initial £250 deposit we will need to then raise a further £2500 each with £1000 of that total being payable in March 2013. As you can, see this is a substantial amount for two Year 11 students to raise! Because of this we are asking local companies such as yourselves if they would be willing to make a small donation towards the cost of this tour. We hope you will be able to help us; as one previous participant from the 2009 tour said, “The Kick4Life Tour is simply a life changing experience. Helping to make a real difference to the children and communities of Lesotho goes hand in hand with seeing the wonderful beauty of the people and landscapes of this amazing country”.
So please dig deep and donate now.
