Story
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page
On Friday 31st October the magnificent seven, Kate Delmar-Morgan, Ailsa Ferguson, Catherine Black, Kim Belcham, Jono Iles, Niall McBain and Nick Argles, also known as the mountain muppets, fly out to Tanzania for a late autumn holiday. Conjures up images of cocktails at sunset overlooking the wildlife grazing on the plains of Africa doesn't it? But for us it will be slogging up Mount Kilimanjaro, all 19,340 feet of it. This is no picnic - to reach the summit on the last day of our ascent we have to get up at midnight and trek in sub-zero temperatures for hours to see dawn break from the roof of Africa.
Holiday - what holiday?! So it is going to be a great challenge but hopefully a lot of laughter on the way. We thought it would be a good idea to raise money for a charity that directly benefits Tanzania hence we decided to support the Tribes Foundation. For further information on the Tribes Foundation please visit www.the-tribes-foundation.org where you will be able to see the projects in Tanzania that the foundation is currently supporting.
Please note that our trip is 100% self-funded so all the money raised will go directly to the Tribes Foundation.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Tribes Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
