We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

This cycle challenge, is taking place from 24 January to 1 February 2010 and is an 8-day, point-to-point road tour in the western province of Pinar del Río in Cuba. The total cycling distance is 325km over 5-cycling days. The average distance per cycling day is 65km and the longest day is 78km, I am aching just thinking about it!!!

Why am I thinking about cycling 350KM over 5 days?!  Well two good reasons:-

1)  Alzheimer's Society.  One in three people over 65 will die with dementia.  It is more than just memory loss; it robs people of their lives and has a devasting impact on loved ones.

I have a fair bit to raise for this great charity, and would appreciate your kind donations

2) Caribean sunshine, Rum!  What's not to like?

I, with a couple of intrepid colleagues, Adrian Jones and Steve Thornhill will be contacting family, friends and business contacts to invite you to either donate or take part in some of our fund raising exercises, such as challenging me to produce some of our tour photographs in return for a donation if the photograph is achieved.  These will be available to afterwards for all to see!!!!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
