Story

On Sunday 30 November 2008 our beloved father Kirit Mehta passed away. This came as a shock to us all and will leave a void that can never be filled. Whether you knew him as a loving family member, a friend or a customer in the shop, you will remember him as a unique man with a big personality.

We all know that his greatest passions were his family and anything on four wheels but what made him such a special man was his willingness to always help others. In particular, his love for children was abundantly clear. That smile that we became used to seeing whenever he was around was never greater than when he was in the company of children.

With this in mind, we have respectfully asked our friends and family to not send flowers in his memory, instead, we would like you all to make a donation to the Great Ormond Street Children's hospital so his willingness to help others can continue despite his passing.  We have requested the donations are split between the Parrot Ward (Neurosurgery) and Paediatric Intensive Care (see http://www.gosh.nhs.uk/gosh_families/coming_to_gosh/wards_units.html for details)

We only have fond memories of our dad and know that all of you will have a story or memory of him. Please use this page to make a donation and also to share your thoughts and tributes to this truly great man.
