Story
Some of you may be aware we (Dan, Olivia and I, Andy) are heading off to India to take part in the Spring Rickshaw Run 2010. It's a 2000 mile race across India in a rickshaw for charity. For anyone who doesn't know what a rickshaw is, imagine a motorised tricycle with a lid. Powered by a 145cc engine commanding a less than impressive 7bhp, capable of a mediocre 30mph and can awkwardly fit one adult, one smaller slightly balding adult and an Olivia shaped companion.
Once we have prised Dan away from Facebook and delicately explained that his cowboy costume is completely inappropriate, dragged Olivia kicking and screaming from her hair straighteners and Ugg boots and I have loaded up on what for anyone else would be a lethal amount of ice cream we shall be touching down in India.
We are aiming to raise £2,500 for Frank Water Projects and all money raised will go directly to this charity.
Frank Water is working in partnership with Water Health International (technologists) and Naandi (local NGO), funding and implementing community clean water projects across India. Money raised will go the capital costs of building the clean water facility.
So please dig deep and donate now, please make sure you tick the gift aid box as for every £1 you donate, an extra 28p will be donated to our charity instead of the taxman.
