On the 5th October 2008, i shall be undertaking what will be my only my second triathlon.

However this year there is a twist. I shall be doing the 4km rown and 25km bike as normal, but when the transition comes from bike to run, i shall don my comabt gear, belt kit and rucksack and run the 7.5km in battle dress.

I used to be a cadet myself and hope to start a career as a Royal Marines Commando in the not too distant future, so am aware of how much this will hurt!

However think about the condition the men and women of our armed forces are operating in and this seems like a walk in the park.

dig deep guys, it is the ultimate thank you for the people who are sacrificing everything for this country.
