Hi all,

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

To raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital I will be participating in the 6th Edition of the London-Paris Cycle Tour which takes place 25-28 June 2009.

This is an undertaking of a 514km northerly route to Paris with stages of about 180km, 167km, 168km over the three ride days. We start on the banks of the River Thames at the historic Royal Palace of Hampton Court. We cycle through the garden of England and cross the Channel to France to test my legs on the flagged yellow, green and red sections (read hard, harder and hell). We finish at the iconic Eiffel Tower after riding past the Arc de Triomph on the Champs Elysee in Paris. Tired, sweaty, and euphoric.

With your help I hope to raise £1,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, the UK's leading and best-loved children's hospital. As an employee of the Towergate Group the Towergate Charitable Foundation will match all donations I manage to raise directly via my justgiving page; the Foundation has paid up to £225,000 so far in 2008 to match fund raising by colleagues.

Every year more than 150,000 patient visits are made to Great Ormond Street from children all over the world. Many of the children treated suffer from rare, complex and often life threatening conditions which are why Great Ormond Street continually have to research, develop and pioneer new treatments and procedures in order to meet this continuing challenge.
