Story
Did you know that 1 in 3 children in London live below the poverty line? In March 2007, we will be trekking through the Peruvian Andes for Help A London Child.
The trek will include eight days of non-stop walking, along with the sort of hardship and deprivation we four non-campers have never endured before: no showers, no toilets, high altitude, not to mention hills as steep as staircases. We have already begun training and are currently walking 10 miles a week. By March we hope to be walking 24 miles a week, although nothing can prepare us for the trauma of having to sleep in a tent...
Our aim is to raise £20,000 for the charity and each of us is covering our own costs for this Trek: every penny donated will go straight to Help a London Child - not to pay for our trip.
So Please dig deep and help us reach this huge goal.
