Story

Hello, if you’re reading this, many thanks for taking the time to click onto my page. Fingers crossed I can entice you to read on so you can find out about my very exciting news. I have decided to take on the ultimate challenge of the London Marathon. Yikes!!

I love new challenges and this is my next crazy adventure! I was always toyed with the idea and have commented that ‘I will do it at some point’. I applied on the off chance to run for The Children’s Society as they raise invaluable funds for an extremely worthy cause and to my delight I got accepted.

My training has started and the next 6 months are now going to consist of a lot of running!!!  Apologies in advance for any mundane running chat ……..you have permission to say shut up!  I also have the slightly intimidating task of raising £1,750 before April 2011 for a fantastic Charity.

I wanted to run for the Children's Society because it is a leading children's charity committed to making childhood better for all children in the UK. They take action to prevent, rescue and support children facing life trapped in a vicious circle of fear and harm.

This is likely to be the only time I commit to running a distance of this magnitude so please… please….. please….. sponsor me! All contributions will be HUGELY appreciated.

On Sunday 17th April 2010, I will join the 37,000 runners to run the 26.2miles…arrrggghhh!!!  It would be amazing if your free that weekend to come into London to support and cheer. I am sure I will be very envious of you on the spectating side. The atmosphere in London will be great and it will be a really fun day out.

Many thanks for reading the above………….all I need you to do now is donate. All donations are welcome and will be hugely appreciated. I will keep you updated on my progress throughout the next few months. THANK YOU!
