On 23 October 2009 I will be trekking for 8 long, hard days over some of the most inhospitable terrain you could imagine without the luxury of a comfy bed, duvet and shower at the end of the day!

TrekSahara raises money for Help a London Child, which improves the lives of thousands of vulnerable children living in our capital city. London is one of the wealthiest cities in the world, yet shockingly it is also one of the poorest, with 39% of our Capital’s children living in poverty. Help a London Child specialises in funding grass roots projects and supporting their work to improve the lives of children suffering from abuse, poverty, homelessness, disability and illness. HALC relies solely upon fund raising and donations in order to keep these projects afloat and to help children and young people, in need, in London.
