Story
Hi. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In late July 2008 my partner Vivienne's son James was admitted to the Children's Hospital Oxford with a rare and seriously advanced cancer. We are all keeping our fingers crossed that he can survive, and we know it won't be easy for him, but we know he's in the right place to get the best possible treatment.
On 21 September I completed my abseil down one of the hospital buildings to help raise money for the Children's Ward and Radcliffe Hospital Oxford. However, even though I've already done the drop, now that you're here looking at this page, please continue to donate whatever you can to help me raise even more money for the ward, so that children and young people like James can continue to receive the treatment they need.
(UPDATE 22nd September): James has been home for a couple of weeks and his condition is much improved, although he will have to return to the hospital for chemo every three weeks for a long time to come. We continue to wish him all the best in his recovery.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you.
