If you are on this page it means you have probably heard about the event Pat and Myslef have planned for the summer. If not then it is as follows.

We aim to ride the Lands End to John O'Groats route on single speed bikes (bikes with only one gear!) within a two week period with the target of raising as much money as possible for the charity Help For Heroes. 

On this page we have set the target as £5000.00 although we have no idea how much we are going to receive, be it less or more. We are obviously hoping to reach and exceed this goal, so any donation, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.

Those of you who know Pat and myself will also know that we have NEVER even attempted anything like this before, and any previous riding we have done usually consisted of about 5 minutes tops! (a usual downhill run). So you might say that we have bit off more than we can chew with choosing to go single speed. However, just doing the ride wasn't enough for us. Thousands of people have done the ride, and it is something we have both wanted to do for a long time, so why not do it a bit different ay!?

Well . . . we have done it!

Arrived in John O'Groats at about 2:45 on tuesday keeping to our 14 day target. We were well chuffed!

Sorry to people who may have been looking for updates of our progress on here. It was proving troublesome doing them on facebook alone with very slow internet connection, so i got fed up with trying.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, it was great motivation to see the money rolling in day by day as we progressed up the country.

Pat and i knew we had been a bit too ambitious with the target of £5000. and so we said that to crack the £1000 mark would be awesome. 

We have easily smashed this! As you can see with the gift aid we have reached it with online donations alone, and we still have the buckets and tins to gather as well as sponsorship forms money to collect. 

We are so pleased with the amount we have raised so thank you all again!
