THANKYOU EVERYONE.!  WE HAVE NOW COMPLETED THE JOURNEY.  WE CYCLED 1007 MILES FROM LANDS END TO JOHN O'GROATS OVER THE 15 DAYS PLUS A FURTHER 41.2 ON ORKNEY AND AROUND THE NORTH OF THE SCOTLAND.  WE CURRENTLY HAVE OVER £1500 INCLUDING THE GIFTAID AND WOULD BE GRATEFUL TO ANY FINAL SPONSERS!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.  We are aiming to raise money for Cancer Research UK by cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats in 15 days starting on Friday 13th July (hopefully not a bad omen!).  We will by cycling appoximately 950-1000 miles over the 15 days at an average of about 65 miles per day.  We will be doing this unaided which means everything we will need we will be carrying on our bikes in panniers.  We are spending most nights in Youth Hostels and a couple of nights in B & B's.

We are funding the cost of the trip ourselves (bikes, food, equipment, clothing, accomodation, rail travel) and rest assured the money that you sponsor us will not go towards any of our stuff.  The donations will not pass through us and we will see none of the money.  We will be spending about £400 each doing this trip so it would be nice to raise a decent amount of money for charity whilst doing this.

About Us

Alex Hewlett:  A 2nd year student at Newcastle upon Tyne University studying Mathematics and Accounting.

Daniel Brooks:  A 2nd year student at Leeds University studying Mathematics and Finance.

We are both keen cyclists and have been into cycling for a couple of years.  We have never done anything near this scale before though.
