Story
On Sunday, 22nd April I took my place on the start line - along with 36,390 other runners. It was hot and humid and there were plenty of casualties out on the course but I'm pleased to report that I got around, slower than I hoped for. Under the circumstances (hottest recorded temperatures for a London marathon) I am reasonably pleased with my overall time. The crowd and the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic - being cheered on as it started to hurt was a great incentive.
My run details from the Flora London Marathon Website http://www.london-marathon.co.uk/site/results/ are:
