Me, my brother and two friends are participating in the Home2Rome banger rally in September 2007. The basic idea is that you have to drive a car, valued less than £100, from Calais to Rome while completing various stage events.

As well as having a good laugh, I'm also collecting money for the Brompton Fountain charity which was set up to support families whose children are being treated for cardiac and respiratory conditions at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust -click here for more info. Recently, a colleague of mine sadly lost a newborn baby to a cardiac condition and they have nominated this charity to mark their baby's short but precious life.
