Story

AUGUST UPDATE

Challenge 1 complete! I took part in the Great London Swim on 15th August which was great fun. Thank you to all those who have supported me so far. But don't stop there. I still have the Great South Run to contend with and will beef up the running programme now that the swim is out of the way.

I am personally grateful for my own family's good health and as an ex-serviceman recognise how life would have been much harder if I'd had family health and welfare problems. In the last year alone, The Fund has supported over 1,500 children, but with over 40,000 servicemen currently in the Naval Service, it is keen to increase its support. So please support the work of the RN & RM Children's Fund and sponsor me now: your contribution will make a big difference

                                                                          Thank you for your support!
OCTOBER UPDATE

Challenge 2 complete! Sunday 25th October's Great South Run was a good but windy race day and although my target time was 70 minutes, I managed 81 minutes and was ranked 2041st (out of 21,000) and positioned 118th in my age group. I am personally quite pleased with the result and now have a definate target for next year!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RN & RM Children's Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
