Story

As part of the Manchester University Music Society's Grade1athon, I will be taking on my greatest musical challenge to date in the form of grade 1 on the instrument at the butt of every classical music joke, the viola. In the hope that some good might come of this decision, I will be raising money for Oxfam in the process.

Incentives to donate include:

Contributing to the great work that Oxfam does to reduce poverty and hunger in all six inhabited continents;

Warm and fuzzy feeling inside from knowing that someone (me) is having a worse time than you having not only to listen to, but bear with the guilt of creating an incredibly screechy, poorly intonated c-major scale;

Donors will have my personal promise never to hear me "practise".

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
