Story
Hey there,
Well its official, we're mad...well Lewis and Shaun are mad, Trevor & Andy like this kind of stuff. Oh yes, Lewis and Shaun have only gone and agreed to do a 50 mile bike ride and Trevor and Andy are doing 100 miles!! Yeah, you heard us right, 50 & 100 miles!!! (All you non-sporty types, like me (Lewis), will understand the hugeness of this). Just a good job our bodies are temples and we're fighting fit...mmmm!! So we're cutting down the junk food and we're in strict...ahem...training, along with a load of praying that we'll get round the course.
No matter, we're not bothered about how sore we feel at the end, because we're riding for Cherish Uganda, a charity organisation who house children who have been orphaned by HIV/Aids and its very close to our hearts. Its probably best that we let you check out www.cherishuganda.org for the lowdown and if you feel that this is an organisation you would like to contribute to, it would be awesome if you would sponser us, as the smallest sacrifice can make a big difference.
Cherish Uganda now have 5 houses each with 8 children that are thriving in their new homes with the care and support we are able to give them. The money raised will really make a major difference to these 40 lives, but as the impact of what is going on within Cherish is now spreading to the surrounding peninsula, it is bringing hope and prosperity to literally thousands of people.
So if you would like to donate through JustGiving, thank you! Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate and cuts costs for the charity. However, if you would like to sponser us directly then that would be great too.
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out this page, for looking at the Cherish website and for even considering sponsering, its really appreciated!! Oh and if you know anyone you think may wish to support Cherish and us, please send them a link!! Ta!
