Story
Lewis was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in March 08 at the age of 18 months. Retinoblastoma is a rare eye cancer which mainly affects children under the age of five. Approximately 45 cases are diagnosed in the UK every year. Lewis had his right eye removed and has just completed a course of Chemotherapy. He is recovering well.
We are raising money through sponsorship by doing a 200ft Bungee jump off the Transporter Bridge in Middlesborough (organized through Bungee Club UK). Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust and for the Retinoblastoma Team at Birmingham's Children's Hospital.
“Please note: All funds raised through just-giving plus amounts raised off-line will be split between the two charities with the kind permission and assistance of the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust.”
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Childhood Eye Cancer Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
