We help people with disabilities to go beyond expectations.

Story

On a cold and damp morning in the staff common room someone, who shall remain nameless, came up with the "good idea" to swim a mile in Lake Windermere as part of the Great North Swim 2010.  OK we said, hoping we could do it, but, we had to decide who to raise funds for.

Henshaws is a charity we felt we all had a connection with, both personally and professionally. They have helped people affected by sight loss and other disabilities for over 36 years.  Their goal is to help them develop the skills and confidence to lead lives that are as full, exciting and independent as possible.  For more information please visit www.henshaws.org.uk.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our JustGiving page: we appreciate your time, support and, of course, your money!
