Since 1886, Mayhew has been at the heart of the communities in which we work providing a lifeline to thousands of dogs and cats in need. Our focus has always been on keeping pets and owners together through community-based welfare, veterinary, rescue and rehoming services in the UK and overseas.

Story

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

My wife helps out at the Mayhew Animal Home in North London, and so when the email arrived looking for charity runners, of course the very first thing she did was volunteer ...me. How brilliant to see her commitment to a good cause never fails!

The Mayhew is a lovely place where by donations alone dogs, cats, bunnies and guinea pigs are looked after in their own little hotel rooms, and get to watch Eastenders or listen to the radio. Volunteers go round and walk dogs, or just spend some quality time with the animals and lots of these socially readjusted animals go on to loving homes. Actually every one of the residents I've met so far have been brilliant fun. You can see more of the Mayhew residents here.

Here's the 'official' bit...Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Mayhew Animal Home will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

You can of course sponsor me in the old fashioned way with cold, hard cash which you can send to me and I'll add to the 'running' total. (See what I did there?!!!)

So please sponsor me now, whichever way you can =)

Many thanks for your support.
