Royal Marines Commando Challenge · 5 October 2013 to 6 October 2013 ·

Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the charity that raises the funds to keep Devon’s two air ambulances flying and fleet of Critical Care Cars responding. We can only be there for those in need, with your continued kindness and support. Together, we are Devon Air Ambulance.

Story

We’re a team of Lifesavers from the RNLI, taking part in the 10k Royal Marines COMMANDO CHALLENGE to raise funds for our colleagues in the Devon Air Ambulance.

Apparently, all we need is a ‘good amount of GRIT as well as the DETERMINATION to finish and an unimaginable need to get covered from head to toe in the dirtiest mud in the South West.’ Well that’s us then!  However we will need your help to raise the much needed funds!

The RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards in Devon work closely with the county’s Air Ambulance teams and see first-hand the amazing work they do. As a charity, the Devon Air Ambulance Trust need to raise £4.5 million a year to keep both their helicopters airborne and we hope to contribute just a small amount to ensure this happens. So whether its mud or money, show us what you’ve got!
