A year ago, someone challenged me to complete my first ever 10K run following 3 decades of being a lazy bum that didn't exercise. Without his support and stupid challenge I would never have run that sort of distance or pushed myself to limits I previously thought were unachievable.

On race day, however, he was missing from the start line...

This year, he challenged me to my first Triathlon. I can't swim very well. I can't cycle very well, and I don't run fast. But somehow, this man's challenges to complete lunacy seem within grasps.

On race day, however, for the second year running, his face will be missing from the start line..

Because this man, who pushes me to try things that only stupid fit people can do, who challenges me every week to consider something more idiotic than the last, now has MS.

So this year Rory, I'm fund raising for you.

I will be:

Running 10K around Alton water on May 11th

Running the Westminster Mile on May 24th

Completing Wattisham Sprint Triathlon on June 14th

(3oom swim, 20K bike ride, 5K run)

Running my first Ipswich HALF MARATHON on September 21st

Running the Perkins Great Eastern Run on October 12th

That's 50 MILES covered in total!
