Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
July 2015 I had foot surgery. I now have a metal plate in my foot and a wire through my big toe, as I enjoy running this was a big deal for me.
Lyndon Jones my surgeon said if I followed his post op instructions I would get back to running again. So I took his word for it, did the exercises and signed up for this 100K event.
Serve on international Rescue are a charity based in Salisbury Wiltshire. Serve on respond to earthquake and flood disasters worldwide. In April 2015 Serve on deployed a team of volunteers to Nepal.
Serve on have strong links to Nepal and have just returned from a training week in Nepal with the Gurkhas where they share their knowledge and skills.
Last year as the earthquake struck Nepal my husband Nick was half way through his two year training to join serve on. I am proud to say he is now qualified to deploy with the rest of the team.
Nick will be driving the serve on mini bus with some of his friends from serve on to support our team through this non stop event.
So here I am raising money for a worthwhile cause and testing the new foot to the max.
