We'll be running the Bristol Half Marathon this september in aid of Facing The World.

Facing the World is a British Charity that was founded to offer life-changing treatment to children with severe facial disfigurement.

• They bring children with the most conditions which cannot be treated locally to the UK for surgery.
• Provide training to develop the capacity of local teams to Provide surgery.
• Network to find local treatment for those who do not need to come to the UK for treatment.
• Provide support for families on their return in order to facilitate their life change.

 

Facing the World is working in partnership with the Danang General Hospital (Viet Nam)to develop a multidisciplinary facial reconstructive centre in Central Vietnam. This holistic programme involves working with the Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery and Neurosurgical Departments.
