We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year. Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.

I discovered a lump in my breast in October 2014 after mammogram ultra sound and biopsy I was told on the 3rd November I had Breast cancer my whole life took a flip because thanks to slimming world Bitterne and losing 3 stone I actually found the horrible thing growing inside of me.... I had a lumpectomy on Dec 11 th 2014 and 2 lymph nodes removed luckily I'd caught it early and was just 1 cm in size and the lymph nodes were clear I recovered very well and had a follow up appointment on Dec 24th yep Christmas Eve .... Only to be told the tumor was removed but there wasn't enough surrounding tissue removed therefore I had to undergo another breast operation to remove any excess cells which was then scheduled for the 22nd Jan 2015 which was a success and had my results on World CANCER Day and great news they'd finally removed all cancer so therefore in remission and waiting to undergo 3 weeks of radiotherapy I have an appointment on 11th Feb to find out my path I am soo bloody lucky and thank my lucky stars and all the help of all my friends and family that I WILL beat cancers ass!!!!!!! Please sponsor me I hope to get as many as possible in my team xxxxxx

I went to hospital on wed 11th feb for check up which was fine then to be told I had to return wed 18th feb to see the radiologist which I have attended and now have had my tattoos to mark the spot for radiotherapy which shall begin on. March 17th through to April 15th I have to go every day but only a month out of my life.... My battle continues xxxxxx

3wreks of radiotherapy turned into 5 weeks and went well but very burnt... the 5 weeks went like a flash looking back ...at the time it was very tiring.

Since then I have been in the echo telling my story if I hadn't lost weight I would never have found my lump and who knows where I'd be now?

I have also since had a massive party to celebrate my ordeal being over where over 100 friends and family joined me whilst I had my head shaved to raise money for the Breast cancer unit at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton for all those who unfortunately lost their hair through treatment where I was very lucky and only had radiotherapy .

I have raised so far £1,300.00 and the fundraising is still ongoing and will be back here to let you all know the total I can't thank everyone enough and to all who donated to my party with raffle prizes and donations.

After which I would be very grateful if you could donate to my race for life as every penny counts and I really feel that I have made a difference and hopefully with the advertising a lot of awareness xxxx

I am very proud To say I handed over a cheque to the Breast cancer unit today 29/5/15 for the sum of  £1,564.00 one very proud moment ❤️xx

My money  has been successfully allocated to the breast cancer unit and I'm so happy also I have now been asked to go on stage at the 5k race for life to tell my story n encourage everyone to pay their money in sooooo proud rite now so see u all on Sunday 5th July xxxx
