As most of you reading this will know I am "40" this year and to celebrate this milestone I am going to trek the Inca Trail in Peru to Machu Picchu and realise one of my dreams!! To make my dream even more special I am doing this for a charity which closely effects myself and my family, The Haemophilia Society.
Haemophilia is a life long, inherited genetic blood condition in which an essential clotting factor is either partly or completly missing. This means that bleeding lasts for longer both externally and internally. Treatment is the replacement of the missing factor by injection.
The Haemophilia Society supports both those affected and their families by making sure that the very best and most up to date treatment and care is available to those affected by Haemophilia and the many related disorders.
