Everyone knows the reason for me running the London Marathon again but for those of you that don't ,here's my story. Lisa was my girlfriend who I met at Edge Hill university. We dated for about 4 weeks and she felt ill. It was later discovered she had leukaemia.

After her first treatment things looked hopeful; however months later, she then began to feel ill once more. Valentines day 2005 we discovered the devasting news her leukaemia had returned stronger than ever. The doctors gave us the heart crushing news she had 3 months to live.

With this news we decided to get married and ,as you can see from the picture, went through with this on the 17th April 2005, fantastic day, Lisa looked like an angel.

Unfortunately we lost Lisa on 1st Aug 2005 but she never gave up ,not once, and tried everything to stay with us. We will never forget what Lisa went through and it was a pleasure to have known her, never mind marry her. We shared a very special day and  as I run  round London on the 13th April 2008, she will be there helping me, this is how I already know I will complete the course.
