This fundraising page has been set up by Mark, Sean, Sabrina and Tony in memory of Liz Robinson, our beloved mother and wife. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1980, a disease which eventually took her mobility and speech, but despite her progressing condition she continued to lead a happy and joyful life until she sadly passed away on 2nd December 2012.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page. Donations are being accepted for the Continuing Disability Management Service at the Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE) (ref 9313). The service provides ongoing assessment review and support to the patient and their families and carers. The service works with patients to increase their abilities, both physically and emotionally, and to adapt to changes in their condition. The service also provides outreach nursing or therapy to give support and advice in patients’ homes.

Mum visited the OCE every Wednesday for respite days. She received medical care, speech and language therapy, as well as terrific social and emotional strength from a team of Carers, Nurses, Medical Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Clinical Phychologists, Ambulance Drivers and other support staff. Over many years the staff and volunteers at the OCE made an immense difference to Mum's wellbeing by helping her come to terms with her developing illness and by providing practical solutions to maintain the very best quality of life at home.

Mum asked that donations are made to the OCE in lieu of any floral tributes at her funeral, but we are looking to keep the fundraising going so please contribute if you can.
