Story
On the weekend of the 12thof June 4 guys from Lockton (Bristol) will look to scale the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland in 24 hours.
This will include Ben Nevis the highest mountain in Scotland, Scafell Pike and then finally onto Snowdon in North Wales ( 3560 ft ) The team is well into its 16 week training schedule, and we would welcome your support in order to reach the target we have set ourselves too raise.
The Lockton chosen charity is the Alzheimer's Society which is the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those who care for them. There are 700,000 people with dementia in the UK with numbers set to rise to one million by 2025.
Most of our team members have either had or have loved ones affected by this disease. With this in mind we certainly feel it is a charity close to our hearts. Over £250,000 is needed every year just to maintain their service at its current level - and sadly we know only too well that there are many more people out there affected by dementia who could benefit from it.
Please note that we need to raise 75% of our target by 21st April.
Thank you for your support and I hope you wish us all luck in this "challenge of a lifetime".
