I have been selected to go to Malawi in the summer of 2010 representing GirlGuiding UK in a team of 6 on a GOLD project (Guiding Overseas Linked with Development). We will be helping to set up GirlGuiding in Malawi, which had been outlawed until 10 years ago. Whilst out there we will be training leaders, teaching first aid and camping skills and developing Guiding in their country to make a difference to young members. The GOLD project in Malawi is a 5 year project, this is the 1st year of the project. The main aims may change as the project develops.
