Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I'm going to be taking part in the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 25th March 2007. I only started running towards the end of last year, but my husband thought it would be great motivation for me to take part in an event, so registered me without me knowing! We are still married, but I don’t think he’ll do it again.
Anyway, as I am now taking part I thought it would be an opportunity to raise some money for a good cause. As my colleagues at Coventry University Enterprises Ltd are aware we sadly lost our Deputy Director, Brian Williams, last year. At the time his family asked that donations were made to Sight Savers, so I have decided to raise money for Sight Savers in memory of Brian.
Sight Savers is working to prevent and cure blindness and achieve full social inclusion for people who are blind within a wider disability context as a means of tackling poverty.
I had originally hoped to raise £240 which would help run an outreach clinic, bringing urgent eye-care to rural villages, for a year. Thanks to so many generous donations, I have already reached and surpassed this target! Therefore I'm moving the goal posts and I am now trying to raise £480. I have also received confirmation that whatever I raise will be matched by Coventry University . If I manage to reach my new target of £480 and get it matched, this will pay for an outreach clinic for FOUR YEARS!

You can make a donation to me in person or through this website. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Sight Savers will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support and please sponsor me now!
