Fundraising for Mental Health Foundation

In October 2007 we (Louisa Stevens and Clare Abrahams/Loach) will be trekking at very high altitudes and through steep mountain terrain from Tambo Machay to Patacancha and travelling on to Machu Picchu. The event will involve five days of strenuous trekking and not to mention more than five days away from our families, without hair driers, make-up and decent toilets!!!!! (come on guys you know that this is a big challenge in itself for us!)
We have a minimum sponsorship of £5,300 to raise between us and would really appreciate any help you can give. (Have a look at our fundraising progress chart).

UPDATE
Clare and I have now returned from Peru.
We both managed the challenge and trekked through the Lares valley climbing and crossing two passes - one at 4,400 metres and the other at 4,450 metres. We walked for five days - two of which the walking was in excess of ten hours a day!! It was exhausting and we really felt the effects of the altitude, but fortunately not enough to stop us and it was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience. I attach a photo from the top of the second pass. Note my lovely hair in the photo - 3 days without washing!!!
To date, Clare and I have raised in excess of £6,000 for The Mental Health Foundation (and as a group almost £60k) - which is amazing and above the original target.
