I have been persuaded by my (step) daughter to join her in this challenge. So, Nicola, it is your fault that I have just returned from a relatively short 30 mile ride having been overtaken by lots of proper cyclists ( they just look the other way as they sprint up the hills while I puff and blow my way, a long way, behind them). Never mind it's all for a very good cause so PLEASE sponsor me to cycle from Bristol to Bordeaux in May 2010.  I shall continue with my training undeterred as I am overtaken by Grannies in fancy dress , toddlers on push along cars, (ok I am actually making that bit up but you get the gist!)  So dig deep.
