WE DID IT !!!! 
WOOHOOH!!!! Do you see the amount?! Still some odds and ends to be added in too! Fingers crossed I think we'll make the 4K mark - tremendous!

Thank you all so much for your support and texts/calls during the week, it really kept us going especially on Chronic Hill! 
Injuries/ailments sustained: sunstroke, 2 x cold, borderline anaemia, blisters - variety including blood, water and infected, groin strain, sunburn.
However, we had a blast. We have made some great mates, created fantastic memories but most importantly created around £3000 of funds for the Highland Hospice. We have been asked by people we met to join them again next year, but we took pictures of our injuries to remind ourselves only to meet them at the finish line with cold beer! 
The aim of the walk was to raise funds for the Highland Hospice in Inverness My dad 
spent a fair bit of time there during his illness and he held the doctors, nurses and staff there in the highest regard. It's an amazing place that I can't praise enough so would like to give a wee bit back in memory of an amazing man.
Wee diary of our week below:
Mon 5th May Milngavie - Balmaha 20 miles
Left Ballachulish at 0715, left Milngavie at 0920. Lots of people doing the Way this week. The first part is quite a dull route with nothing too exciting to look at. Chronic Hill was neverending and very slow going! We arrived at the hotel at 1920 to shouts of encouragement from our fellow walkers relaxing in the beer garden. A swift shower and meal and we joined them to compare blisters!
Tues 6th May Balmaha - Inverarnan 21 miles
Tough day. Very hot and Anisha got sunstroke, being sick and feeling dizzy. Not pleasant at all and made this day particularly challenging. We stayed at The Drovers at night. The craic was great and the bar was bouncing with all our new mates!
Wed 7th May Inverarnan - Bridge of Orchy 19 miles
Another long hot day. We made the mistake of stopping at Tyndrum for too long blethering (well, you knew it would happen!). Got to Bridge of Orchy at 2055. Received calls for the other walkers asking us to order their dinner before service stopped at 2100 - that meant we weren't last that day!!!
Thurs 8th May Bridge of Orchy - Kinlochleven 21 miles
The Devils Staircase is well named. After a tiring day, you are rewarded with a long winding road into Kinlochleven that seems to take forever! However, after a quick refreshment in local pub we were fine. Back down to Kinlochleven at night where we let strangers pierce our blisters with needles in a beer garden, lovely!
Fri 9th May Kinlochleven - Fort William 14 miles
Thankfully a cooler day. We made a good start with the climb out of Kinlochleven. Louise's groin strain took it's toll after a few miles and we slowed down. Anisha took some pictures of a man trying to fix this problem - Michael says they will be great evidence for a divorce! Arrived at the finish post with our new walking pals to meet family and friends. It was great to see so many friendly faces and get the boots off!
