MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Having already completed a number of world-wide challenges, I wanted an ultimate trek that will push me to my limits. I had already completed:
· New York Marathon (3 times)
· 10,000ft Tandem Skydive
· Borneo Challenge, Malaysia
· Peru Inca Trail, South America
· Great Wall of China
· Grand Canyon
· Mount Toubkal, Morocco
In June 2010 I conquered the world’s highest-freestanding mountain – KILIMANJARO. Standing at an impressive 5,895m/19,340 feet over the African plains, I faced my toughest trek ever and batttled my way through altitude sickness and freezing cold temperatures that attacked on the way up to the summit.
I work for North West Air Ambulance which is a charity that funds the regions only emergency helicopter. NWAA is there for any emergency, not just road incidents but also industrial and workplace accidents, falls and heart attacks, sporting and rural injuries. It operates across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Manchester and Cumbria and needs to raise £4million a year to keep saving lives.
I fully funded the costs of the trip myself, so any donations will go directly to the charity. Please help support NWAA by sponsoring me and make a donation however little or large – every penny helps!
