Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I did it! - It was an amazing day!
I had a really good run, Hit the wall at 19 miles, and it was the worst thing ever, I had to walk for 3 miles (but was really pleased with myself I had run all the way untill then). At Mile 23, i had some great support (thanks Ben) and some pain killers. I worked out if i could up my pace to 10 min miles I would do it in under 5hrs. 30mins. I pegged it to the end in 9 min miles! (That felt amazing) - and finished in 5hours 27mins - Was so, so happy!
Thank you so so much for all your amazing sponsorship - I am so glad I actually finished it!
I have been sucessfull in gaining a London Marathon place for 2010, and I am running for Oxfam, aiming to raise £2000.
Any amount that you can sponsor will really help me achieve my target, and will go to Oxfam to make a difference to other people lives....
£10 could buy fishing nets to support fishing communities.
£25 could buy five radios, used to broadcast health education and advice to remote communities.
£100 could buy essential medicines for a whole village for 6 months.
£250 could buy 10 teaching kits providing essential educational equipment.
£500 could pay for the care of 10 orphans or vulnerable children.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oxfam gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Many Thanks,
Louise
