On Sunday 1st June I will be competing in a 1/2 ironman: 2mile swim, 60mile bike, 13 mile run.

I am doing this to raise money for Lepaura Clinic, part of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. This is a rural clinic near the base of Mt Kenya. I have been personally involved with the set up and running of Leparua Clinic for eight years and can guarentee that every penny raised will go directly to where it is most needed.

Our current projects include setting up a Laboratory at Leparua, a permanent child vaccination and family planning programme, and a counselling and testing facility for HIV.  We are also trying to raise funds for a vehicle community clinic to give much needed medical support to those villages unable to reach Leparua on foot.
