I have known quite a few people who have fought cancer. My Granddad died of Leukemia 6 years ago. He was told he would only survive 6 months after being diagnosed, however with the help of Cancer Research he was able to fight 18 months before passing away, enabling him to see the birth of his granddaughter.

The Race For Life supports over 200 types of cancer; unfortunately, we all seem to know people who have had cancer or who are battling it now. I have also known many brave women fight breast cancer and with the help of Cancer Research, they are still alive today. With our help we can make sure that more and more people beat it!
