Help for Heroes (H4H) is a British charity launched in September 2007 to help provide better facilities for wounded British servicemen and women. It was founded by Bryn Parry, a former member of The Royal Green Jackets, after he visited soldiers at in .
H4H’s latest venture is funding the establishment of Personnel Recovery Centres across the . These much needed facilities will provide wounded service personnel with a “launchpad to life”, offering them both medical and welfare support as they make the transition to a fulfilling future.
In the early hours of Saturday 31st July 2010, the Prolinx 3 Peaks Team will begin its ascent of the ’s 3 tallest mountains in support of Help for Heroes. This challenge we aim to complete within 24 (walking) hours over one weekend. The mountains will include:
- (3,560 ft): Highest mountain in and 's highest mountain south of the Scottish Highlands
- Scafell Pike (3,209 ft): Highest mountain in , located in the in - Ben Nevis: (4,409 ft): Highest mountain in the British Isles, located at the western end of the in the Lochaber area of the Scottish HighlandsDonating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
