Story
Thank you for visiting Lydia’s page.
Lydia Eve Poulson died on 28 January 2010 surrounded by her family at the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton, London. Lydia was a beautiful little girl who brought so much happiness to so many people. Lydia suffered from Aicardi Syndrome which meant that her development was severely affected and she had frequent daily seizures. Lydia therefore needed lots of care and benefited tremendously from the wonderful staff at the hospice. As many of you will know Lydia, Mark, Anna, Oscar and Esther spent many happy times together at the hospice. Lydia particularly loved the hydrotherapy pool and music therapy sessions. The hospice has been a source of great support to the family and made sure that Lydia received the most out of life.
With no long term funding, the hospice relies on voluntary donations and fundraising in order to raise the £3m needed each year to provide these amazing services (http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk/).
This page was originally set up so that friends and family attending Lydia's funeral could make a donation to the hospice instead of sending flowers. However, it is now used by family and friends to raise money for the hospice in memory of Lydia.
Thank you xxx
