Story
Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for all your support. On Sunday, I ran the London Marathon in a time of 4 hours and 34 minutes, which I was really pleased with. The race went really well, but did get very hard after about 21 miles. Luckily though, the atmosphere was fantastic which kept me running all the way to the end. A big special thanks to John and my family, who fought the crowd on the tubes to see me four times during the race - it really kept me going during the difficult times. Thanks also to Sian and Sue, who amazingly managed to spot me three times during the day and gave me a big cheer when I was finding it particularly hard at 22 miles. The photo's of me just after I reached the finish - you can see I'm still smiling (somehow!) and you can just about see the medal round my neck. As soon as I get official photos from the London Marathon, I'll try to send them on for you all to see.
Thanks again to everyone who has sponsored me. Again, I've been overwhelmed by the support you have all shown me. It's not too late if you haven't yet though, as donations can still be made on this page - I'm so close to my target of £1200 now, it's be a shame not to reach it!
Big thanks again to everyone,
Lyndsay
