Story

Paris 2 Geneva 22 - 27 June - 345 miles

The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust

Rugby Football is a fantastic game to participate in, but rarely a serious injury can occur leading to paralyses or long term recouperation. The recent injury and subsequent passing of Gareth Jones playing for Neath, highlighted for me the role and importance of supporting the above charity, offering support for players and their families through extremely difficult times.

 YOU CAN HELP.

I am looking to raise £2750.00, thus volunteering to take on a challenge of cycling 345 miles,  a challenge which will not come easy for me, but with your support, it will really help me over the Alps (more detail below).

In conjunction I will help poromote Treat Trust Wales, a charity set up by the retired Neath orthopaedic surgeon, Mike Davies and his wife Mel, to set up a world class rehabilitation centre inPort Talbotfor individuals with a range of disabilities (info  rmdavies@doctors.org.uk).

Diolch am ymweld a'r wefan ac am eich cefnogaeth. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Welsh Rugby Charitble Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

The cycling challenge will take me east from Paris through the famous vineyard regions of Champagne and Burgundy. Skirting Dijon the plan is to reach the Roman Spa town of Lons-le-Saunier, at the foot of the Jura on the fourth saddle sore day and here's where the real challenge begins!. Ahead on the 5th day is the hairpin bends of the Col de la Faucille (1232m) - the gateway to Switzerland and the toughest part of the challenge. This climb in the beautiful Jura Mountains is a regular feature of the Tour de France.
So please sponsor me now!

Diolch yn fawr.
